Joel Kurz

Joel Kurz spent his early childhood in the Philippines with his eyes turned to the wonder and wounds of this world. Further time growing up and living in the South, Midwest, and East has deepened his understanding of being an Earthling. He currently lives in Western Missouri and serves as a Lutheran pastor. Poetry and/or essays of his have appeared over the years in Sojourners, Weavings, Friends Journal, The Other Journal, Plough (online), The Land Report, Ruminate, and The Cresset. He has also written liturgical materials for the Center for the Care of Creation.
