Katharine Whitcomb

Katharine Whitcomb is the author of four collections of poems, most recently The Daughter’s Almanac (University of Nebraska Press, chosen by Patricia Smith as the winner of the 2014 Backwaters Prize) and is the co-author of the faux self-help art piece, The Art Courage Project (Jaded Ibis Press). Her awards include a Stegner Fellowship at Stanford University and fellowships from the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown and the Wisconsin Institute for Creative Writing. She coordinates the Professional and Creative Writing MA at Central Washington University and lives in Ellensburg, Washington.
