Five National Park Myths

The recent government shutdown brought a spotlight to America’s national parks as their closing was one of the more conspicuous effects of the shutdown. Robert Earle Howells just wrote a piece for the Washington Post highlighting five myths surrounding the national parks in the wake of the recent closure. Howells’ piece addresses some of the financial issues confronting these parks even as government funding resumes and the larger role the parks play in wildlife management.
