Poem for Bob Dog

[poetry]Old dog, old dog
I remember you when you were a playful pup.
Though you were all Retriever
I made you sled dog,
pulling me through snow.
Now your hips hurt and you can’t climb stairs.
So go.
Take the heavenly leap
Splash into the stream where my father fishes
Wreck that fishing hole!
He’ll be happy to see you.
Be young again
Eat cat food
And roll in deer shit
To your heart’s content![/poetry]
