A few days ago we published this piece by Joe Webb about fly-fishing a cool West Virginia Trout stream. Now we are hearing about that same stream, down river, being contaminated by a massive chemical spill, leaving “hundreds of thousands” without water. It is now labeled a “federal disaster.” Is this the price of progress? Is it worth it? An inevitable side-effect of our way of life? Or is it a wake up call? What do you think?
