Sierra Club honors Robert Bullard

The Washington Post has an article on the recent presentation of the John Muir award to Robert Bullard by the Sierra Club. Bullard is the first African American to receive the award and is considered a pioneer in the environmental justice movement. The article gives an introduction to environmental justice and a short history of Bullard’s work, while addressing some of the racial issues that have plagued the environmental movement.
