Emily Woodworth

Emily Woodworth grew up in Sisters, Oregon and writes fiction, essays, and screenplays. As a descendent of the Karuk Tribe, Emily enjoys deconstructing the Western Canon, exploring hybrid identities, and remaking old myths. Her work has appeared in Under the Sun, Broad Street, Crannóg Magazine, Inkwell Journal, and others, and she has received an honorable mention in the New Flash Fiction Review's Anton Chekhov Prize for Very Short Fiction 2020, a notable mention in Best American Essays 2018, and has been twice nominated for a Pushcart Prize. She holds an MFA in writing from CalArts, where she attended on a Lillian Disney Scholarship.
