Welcome to the team, Kate

The EcoTheo Review is happy to announce a new member on our team!

kate lesnewich ETRKate Lesnewich will be joining the ETR staff as Director of Development effective immediately.

Kate is graduating with her Masters of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary in May, and she has an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Wake Forest University. An addict of education, she will soon begin a new venture at Rutgers School of Social Work. There, she will pursue her Masters of Social Work with a concentration in nonprofit management.

A Jersey native, Kate has spent most of her summers in the Tijuana desert with Amor Ministries, where she began to commit her life to working alongside those in poverty. Kate also spent a summer in New York working as a development intern at goods for good, a nonprofit organization in Malawi committed to empowering community-based organizations to sustainably care for their orphans and vulnerable children. This past summer, Kate hopped on a plane to Southern Africa and ended up researching, interviewing and meeting nonprofits working on agricultural projects in villages surrounding the capital city. While Kate says she is “more inclined to jump off mountains than climb them,” she is excited to be a part of EcoTheo’s interdisciplinary conversation. In her free time, Kate likes to put her penmanship to work addressing wedding invitations for her friends, traveling, and hanging out with high school students.

We are very excited for the passion and expertise that Kate will bring to ETR. Her work in non-profit management, as well as her broad interests in empowering and supporting local communities will be a wonderful addition to our team. Welcome, Kate!
